VIRAL PLANTING 2015

MIchael Pinsky has created beauty out of tragedy. The Ebola virus as it appears in its microscopic structure has been replicated in sculptural form by planting 30,000 roses which take up a whole wall of a room.
This project is about to come to London in May ( 21st -23rd) during Art15 and will be on show at The House of St Barnaba's , one of London's great social projects as it provides occupational training for the homeless in central London who are supported into sustained work and mentored by club members. Their Employment Academy has helped many and as someone who used to treat homeless addicts in central London from Soho Square where I had my office, I am very impressed by the dedication this club has shown to a population all too often overlooked.
Unfortunately I will miss the show as I will be speaking about my 'the Art of Science ' blog at the Hay Literary Festival on 22nd May at 2.30 . Look forward to catching up with some of you blog angels at the festival, especially the ones who have been sending in images.
