This photo is as relevant now as it was in the early 90s when it was taken as part of the project 'Signs that say what you want to say and not signs that say what someone else wants you to say' . As a psychiatrist I find this such a strong piece of art, a reminder of the despair that some people carry deep within them and of the daily struggle they face in trying to hide their true emotions.  Despite the decades I have spent treating depressed and suicidal people, this photo still moves me, makes me want to help! The rest of the series is also excellent but not related to science so I have not included it.
